This is by no means a comprehensive list but it should get you started on planning your next visit to Hong Kong!
1. Visit Victoria Harbour
Victoria Harbour gives you a fantastic view of the city skyline and is a must-visit especially for photo enthusiasts. The buildings light up beautifully every night and the iconic clock tower in Tsim Sha Tsui are all representative of Hong Kong.
2. Star Ferry
The star ferry has been around for ages, connecting Hong Kong Island and Kowloon for $2.50-$3.40 HKD (about $0.50 CAD). It is one of the oldest forms of transportation in the city and my favourite way of getting to Hong Kong Island.
3. Riding the Tram
Hong Kong is an incredibly fast paced city and riding the tram or 'ding ding' helps slow down the pace a little, in a good way. You can also admire the architecture distinct to the island and chase the sunset in-between buildings.
4. Visit Central Pier
The ferris wheel at Central is much smaller than the London Eye or Singapore Flyer but it does make a great photo shot with so many skyscrapers in the background. It is also the pier to go to for ferries to outlaying islands including Cheung Chau and Tai O.
5. HK Style Milk Tea/Lai Cha
To top it all off, you cannot leave the city until you have a decent cup of HK style milk tea. Available at many (and numerous) cha chan tang's, this is the must get (or try) beverage. My personal favourite is the milk tea at Lan Fong Yuen in Central.
