Dessert places that offer (good) molten lava cakes and souffles are hard to come by in the Markham/Richmond Hill area, presumably because it takes a little more effort than just making a batter and using a preset machine to do the rest (*ahem, waffle places). Thankfully, Sweet Note has both lava cakes and souffles! We tried the matcha molten lava cake with a guava sorbet on the side.
The rich matcha sauce oozes out with a little bit of red bean on the inside. The only downside was that the lava cake could have been a little softer on the outside but I really liked the refreshing taste of the guava sorbet.
We opted for the original/vanilla souffle (chocolate option also available) and a mango sauce. The souffle was so soft and fluffy!
The souffle would have tasted very well on its own but if you prefer a sweeter taste, their variety of sauces available are a good option.
Sweet Note also offer a variety of take away options including milk bottles, macarons and cakes. Souffles, lava cakes and baked alaska are only available as a dine-in option (be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes though).
