Cho Sun Ok

Rumour has it that the best place for cold noodles in the GTA is at Cho Sun Ok - a busy Korean Restaurant in a quiet strip mall in Thornhill. I've been craving cold noodles for a while now so we decided to pay them a visit.

We also tried Korean sausages (a Korean dish made generally by boiling or steaming cow or pig's intestines that are stuffed with various ingredients) which is a popular street food in Korea. This is the first time I've ever had it so I don't have anything to compare it to but the stuffing really just tastes like rice - it's not as bad as it sounds!

After a short (but seemingly long) wait, our cold noodles arrive. Even only after the first bite, I could tell this was indeed different from the other cold noodles that I've had. From my memory, there's usually not much taste to the noodles aside from the coldness but this bowl had so much flavour! I also liked how they added slices of pear which really complimented the refreshing taste of the noodles.

Make sure you say yes when they ask if you'd like your noodles cut (it's really hard to bite it apart yourself- I always find it a slight choking hazard to be honest but it's worth it!)
