Beertown

Beertown is never a bad place to hang out with friends in Waterloo. We came here for dinner on a Thursday night and it was packed as usual.

Not surprisingly, they have a wide selection of beer including many local craft beer from around the Waterloo area. We ordered the "Tour of Beer" paddle which features a selection of medium/darker beer from around the world. (Personally I like the Innis and Gunn the most, it's a nice medium ale with a maltier taste.)

I ordered the Taco Trio which gives you a taste of each of the tacos that they have. I absolutely loved the pork belly taco, so juicy and crunchy and so much flavour with every bite! The fish taco was quite good as well, loved the lime sauce and cilantro with the fish.

My friend ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken (one of the healthier options on the menu). I had a taste of it and even though it was pan roasted, the chicken was still juicy and the herb sauce went well with the quinoa.

I love the casual atmosphere of Beertown and it's a nice place to hang out with a group of friends over food or even just drinks.
